  • Admissions will be made on a merit basis based on the score obtained by the applicant in SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Level 2.

Tie-Breaker Criteria in BITSAT 2022

Tie-breaker rules will be used in a situation wherein there is a clash between the scores of two or more candidates. The rules are:

  • Firstly, the BITSAT Scores of candidates in Mathematics/ Biology (for B.Pharma) subject will be taken into consideration.
  • If the tie still exists, then the score of candidates in the BITSAT Physics section will be considered for preparing the merit list.
  • Then the Chemistry section will be taken into consideration if the tie still prevails.
  • If the tie still exists then the total marks of candidates obtained in the Class 12 examination in PCM/PCB will be taken into consideration.

Reporting to BITS Campus

  • A candidate has to report for admissions to the campus after the allocation of seats.
  • However, if that allotted seat is not the candidate’s first preference, then they will remain on the waiting list for the programs of their higher preference at the other campuses too, till all admissions are finalized.
  • There is a provision to opt out of the race for programs offered at other campuses.
