Business design is much more comfortable with big hairy challenges (e.g. what are most likely modes of transportation in 2030 and what will their business model be). Especially on projects that deal with a bottom line optimization (improving profitability) while business design deals better with a top of the line improvement (increasing revenue and finding new opportunities). However, I personally believe that in the future business design could be used for bottom line optimization too but let’s leave the future out for now.
